Good old times…
After a long time, I had an eventful weekend in my what has become a lackluster boring life. Catching up with old school friends always gives a special feeling, but this time it was even more special considering my current dull state of mind. Everything about it was special, starting from the ride to Koramangala from Domlur in Varun’s car on Saturday evening to not-so delightful South Indian lunch at Kamat Buglerock today.
Random thoughts have crossed my mind over these 24 hours ranging from the most trivial and common like owning a car, getting married, visiting US to the most wierd ones like rearing cattle (specifically cows and buffaloes), studying forensic psychology, gettinh high on LSD (yes, its LSD and only LSD), meeting Amerigo Vespussi (yes, its Amerigo Vespussi) and God knows what else.
Arsenal beating Blackpool 6-0.. Amaravathi Double Egg Roll… unfulfilled desire of eating roadside Jilebi.. watching 1 full bottle of Mansion House and 2 small bottles of Blender’s Pride getting emptied.. Sallu’s Wanted Movie…Godfather Part-II.. Australia… Unraveling (or rather 4 jobless engineers trying to unravel) the biggest of biggest conspiracy theories including 9/11 attack, man’s giant leap on moon in 1969… Shyju’s omlette session (Puke session)…. also trying to prove/disprove MSD as the best Indian cricket captain, Rebel Star Ambarish as a Good actor, Martin Scorsese better than Steven Spielberg, Aamir Khan’s versatility, Swami Nithyananda’s righteousness of his noble deeds…. and what not!!
The eventful Saturday night finally ended at 4am Sunday morning, with all of us crashing on the floor in different directions.
What then followed on Sunday morning was even more pleasant. The lazy Sunday morning was welcomed by the soothing dialogues of eternal Dr. Jack Gramm in 88 minutes. Then followed Davangere Benne Dose.. By two tea… The Undertaker taking on the “Red Monster” Cane… Gia on the awesomeeee Samsung Galaxy… soapless-just-water bath… eventually ending with Kamat Buglerock.
As I was walking back home from Domlur bus stop, darkness started surrounding me as well as Bangalore (the latter for a good cause of giving water to Karnataka junta and the former for the bad cause of making me sulk again.)
This piece of writing is just an attempt to overcome my unknown sadness/frustration and for the sake of good old times.
